Artist Lori Levan was born in Niagara Falls, New York.
She graduated with a B.S. Degree in Education and Literature from the State University of New York - SUNY-Geneseo.
She further completed a Post Graduate Studies from Niagara University, NY.
She is a Member of Art Serve in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
She specializes in Private Residential Commissions.
"My love of art came from my mother, an abstract painter. I in turn took my passion for art into teaching it to elementary school children and found it was a great way for them to be creative and express themselves. I was later influenced by the large scale stainless steel sculptures of the late Rod Dowling, a Canadian abstract artist and my conversations with him about his art and the art of a good friend of his, the late great American abstract expressionist metal sculptor, David Smith."
